Police service knowledge
The police service customer (abbreviation PDK or PD ) is the study of the practical " policing ". It is an important part of the training at all German police schools and is tested in writing and orally in many career examinations.
It conveys the police action in practice; In detail, the police service customer treats, for example:
- Organization of the police , e.g. B. hierarchies, administrative structure
- the implementation of regulations, e.g. B. the police service regulations and the RiStBV
- the actual implementation of measures , e.g. B. Tactics in police operations , searches , barriers, identity checks , searches

- Radio traffic in police radio ( BOS radio ) and operation of radio devices
- Processing , e.g. B. Creation of criminal complaints , keeping diaries, official correspondence, traffic accident recording, etc. Ä.
- How to wear the uniform ( dress code)

- Management and operational resources
- Public service law in practice, e.g. B. breaks, working hours, shift work, vacation
- Deployment gauge , e.g. B. in closed use
In many federal states, deployment training has been removed from the teaching and examination material in police service knowledge.
