Polypheides

Polypheides ( Greek  Πολυφείδης = the very thrifty ) was in Greek mythology the son of Mantios , the brother of Kleitos and the father of Theoclymenos .

After the death of Amphiaraos he was considered the greatest seer of Apollo . He fell out with his father, left Argos and went to Hyperesia . Here he ran an oracle of Apollo.

Eusebius of Caesarea lists Polypheides as king of Sicyon in the succession of Phaistos and ascribes 31 years of reign to him. He names Pelasgos as his successor .

However, Pausanias refers to Zeuxippus as the heir to the throne of Phaistos.
