The virus taxon Polyploviricotina is a subphylum (sub- strain ) of viruses of the phylum Negarnaviricota , in addition to together with the sister taxon Haploviricotina . The name comes from πολύπλοκο polyplo , the ancient Greek word for "complex", together with the suffix "-viricotina" for viral subphyla. The viruses of the Polyploviricotina have einsegmentiertes RNA - genome of negative polarity , which is why they also English as a beach negative-segmented RNA viruses ( sNSVs ) are referred to. They include u. a. the influenza viruses and the Lassa virus .
