Pop nickname , actually Jens-Uwe Beyer (* 1978 on Fehmarn ) is a German musician.
Life
After several contributions for the Popambient series on the Cologne label Kompakt and various EPs on Italic and FIRM , he released his debut album White Album on Italic in 2007 , then Surrounded by Weather in 2008 and his third album 50 ° on the PNN label. Since then, several contributions to the compilation have appeared on various labels such as Kompakt , Magazine and Greenland. His live performances led him a. a. to Mexico, Sydney, Moscow, New York and Tokyo.
As Jens-Uwe Beyer, he works with musicians and artists such as Jaki Liebezeit , Albert Oehlen , John Stanier ( Battles ), Jan Philipp Janzen ( Von Spar ) and Michaela Dippel ( Ada ).
Beyer has lived in Cologne since 2000. He is co-founder of the Cologne label Magazine .
