Porodin ( Cyrillic : Породин) is a village in eastern Serbia .
Geography and population
The village is located in the Opština Aleksinac in Nišavski okrug in the east of the country at 576 meters above sea level. Porodin had a population of 103 at the 2011 census, compared to 154 in 2002. According to the last three population statistics, the number of inhabitants continues to fall.
94% of the population of Porodin are Serbian Orthodox Serbs . There are also 7 Orthodox Roma who make up 4% of the population. The village consists of 56 households.
The place is located southwest of the municipality capital Aleksinac . Nearby is the Jastrebac mountain range , which is also open to tourists.
