Portela do Fojo - Machio , is a Portuguese parish ( freguesia ) in the district ( concelho ) of Pampilhosa da Serra . It covers an area of ​​52.80 km² and has 507 inhabitants (as of 2011 figures).

The municipality was created in the course of the municipal reorganization of Portugal on September 29, 2013, as a merger of the previous municipalities Portela do Fojo and Machio . The seat of the new municipality was Portela do Fojo.

Occasionally the new municipality is simply called Portela do Fojo.
