The post office in Murnau am Staffelsee , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen , was established in 1923. The post office at Bahnhofstrasse 1 is registered as a monument in the Bavarian list of monuments.

The two-storey historicizing saddle roof building with stepped gables was built by the Munich architects Franz Holzhammer , Robert Vorhoelzer and Sigmund Schreiber . The building has a mural around the ogival portal .
