The post office and residential building on Goetheplatz , also known as "Goethepost" for short, is a residential and commercial building in Munich - Ludwigsvorstadt (district 2, Goetheplatz 1).

It was built in 1932 according to plans by Robert Vorhoelzer , Walther Schmidt and Franz Holzhammer in the New Objectivity style. The curved street-side front is striking.

The building, along with the building Lindwurmstraße (built in 1931) 6 as a monument to the Bavarian monument list entered.

The description of the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation reads:

“Goetheplatz 1. Post building with post office Munich 15, five-storey building in the New Objectivity style, with a curved facade structured by ribbon windows and window squares, with attic storey, by Franz Holzhammer and Walter Schmidt, 1931–32; re-qualified with Lindwurmstrasse 6. "

One of the entrances or exits to the Goetheplatz underground station is in front of the building .
