history

During the first partition of Poland , the chamber goods of the city of Lubaczów came to the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire in 1772 (from 1804).

The village was established in 1783 in the course of the Josephine colonization on the grounds of the village of Kobylnica Ruska . 15 German families (62 people) of Catholic denomination were settled there. The colony was called Fehlbach and became an independent municipality. In 1792 a Roman Catholic parish was established. The first church was made of wood, the current brick neo-Gothic building was built in the years 1910–1913. In 1900 the community of Fehlbach had 20 houses with 144 inhabitants, 113 of them German-speaking, 28 Polish-speaking, 3 Ruthenian-speaking, 134 Roman Catholic, 4 Greek Catholic, 6 of other faiths.

In 1918, after the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Fehlbach came to Poland.

In 1921 the municipality of Fehlbach had 21 houses with 169 inhabitants, 101 of them Poles, 65 Germans, 3 Ruthenians, 166 Catholics, 3 Greek Catholics.

On May 24, 1939, the name Fehlbach was changed to Potok Jaworowski .
