Powiat Pyzdrski

The powiat Pyzdrski was a powiat ( German circle ) in the Polish-Lithuanian aristocratic republic (1569-1795). The Starost was located in Pyzdry Castle . The powiat existed until the Prussian era and was transferred to the powiat Wrzesiński in 1819.

The powiat belonged to the Greater Poland Voivodeship Kalisz (Województwo kaliskie) until 1793 . After the hive off of the Gniezno Voivodeship in 1768, he was one of the three powiate of the Kalisz Voivodeship. In the extension it was between the powiats Kaliski and Koniński .

The powiat covered an area of ​​50.27 square miles (2768.2 km²), which had recently grown to about 3300 square kilometers. After 1768 it included the cities of Pyzdry, Brudzew , Mielżyn , Miłosław , Słupca and Żerków .

Thus, the historical powiat Pyzdrski had 4-4.7 times the extent of today's powiat Wrzesiński , to which the city and municipality of Pyzdry has belonged since 1999.
