Pyzdry ( German Pyzdry , Peisern ) is a city in the powiat Wrzesiński of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . It has 3185 inhabitants (2016) and is the seat of the town-and-country municipality of the same name with around 7100 inhabitants.

The city lies on the river Warta ( Polish Warta).
history
The city rights are proven as early as 1257.
The mayor has been Przemysław Dębski since the local elections in 2014.
local community
The town-and-country community (gmina miejsko-wiejska) Pyzdry includes, in addition to the town, another 20 villages with school authorities as well as smaller hamlets and settlements. The community has existed since 1973 and has an area of nearly 138 square kilometers.
