Pozovice (German Bosowitz ) is a district of Štoky in the Czech Republic . It is located eleven kilometers south of the city center of Havlíčkův Brod and belongs to the Okres Havlíčkův Brod .

Pozovice is located in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands in the valley of the Pozovický brook. In the center of the village are the Horní pozovický rybník and Dolní pozovický rybník ponds. To the east rises the Žižkův kopec ( Kamenna , 502 m), in the southeast the Březová výšina ( stone hill , 512 m) and northwest the Vysočina ( high mountain , 621 m).

Neighboring towns are Smilov in the north, Křížovatky, Šlapanov and Lutrián in the northeast, Věžnice and Kamenná in the east, Dobronín in the southeast, Štoky in the southwest, Na Vysočině and Studénka in the west and Skřivánek and Květnov in the northwest.

history

Pozovice was first mentioned in a document together with Smilov in 1370. Another written evidence dates from 1390. In Pozovice there was an emphyteutic court.

After the abolition of patrimonial Bosowitz / Pozovice formed from 1850 a district of the market town of Stecken in the Polish district . In 1878 the political municipality of Bosowitz was created, which belonged to the Deutschbrod district . Pozovice was incorporated into Smilov in 1961 and since 1974 the village has belonged to Štoky. In 1991 the place had 113 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 40 houses in which 117 people lived.
