The river has its source in the village of Sołuszowa and initially flows south in a deep erosion channel of the Kraków-Czestochowa Jura in the Ojców National Park ( Pieskowa Skała , Ojców ), then it flows through the villages of Prądnik Korzkiewski, Januszowice, Giebułtów , Pękowice, Zielon Krakow (between the districts of Prądnik Biały and Prądnik Czerwony , Kraków Old Town , Grzegórzki ). Before 1655 the Prądnik flowed into the old river bed of the Vistula, which no longer exists today. Now the river flows into the Vistula in the Dąbie district .
