Presidente Epitácio is a city in Brazil . According to official estimates, around 44,000 people lived in the city in 2018. It is located in the far west of the state of São Paulo on the left bank of the Paraná . The river, whose right bank already belongs to the state of Mato Grosso do Sul , has been dammed into a gigantic lake in this area since 1998 .

The city was in 1907 as Porto Tibiriçá founded and later after the former Brazilian President Epitácio Pessoa ( 1919 - 1922 renamed).
