The Priesbergalm is an alpine pasture in the Königssee forest district in the municipality of Schönau am Königssee .

The Brennhütte at the northern end of the Priesbergalm is a listed building and is registered in the Bavarian Monument List under the number D-1-72-132-77 .

Building description

The Brennhütte on the Priesbergalm is a ground floor block building with a flat gable roof and leg shingle roofing . The building is marked with the year 1840.

Todays use

The Priesbergalm and the Königsbachalm are still used for agriculture by the farmers of the Aschbachhof. The animals spend June on the Königsbachalm before they are driven to the higher Priesbergalm. The animals spend the time from the beginning of September until the cattle drive in early October back on the Königsbachalm. The Priesbergalm is catered for in summer.

The distillery is still in operation, where the mountain distillery of the Grassl gentian distillery still produces gentian today . In the old tradition, the gentian roots are dug up by hand , crushed, mashed and burned to gentian on site.

location

The Priesbergalm is located in the Hagengebirge above the Königssees at an altitude of a good 1300  m above sea level. NN to over 1500  m above sea level. NN . The Alm is located east of the Gotzentalalm and south of the Königsbachalm below Rothspielscheibe and Bärenwand and extends from north to south over a length of over one and a half kilometers.

The Brennhütte on the Priesbergalm is located at the northern end of the alpine pasture.
