The Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen is one of the nine conservatories in the Netherlands . It is one of the eight sub-schools of the state Hanzehogeschool Groningen .

The students usually specialize in one instrument within the two departments, Classical Music or Jazz . In addition, the Conservatory offers training for choir and brass band -Dirigenten ( Ha rmonie , Fa nfare , Bra ssband ), a composer and music producer and studio or music teacher.

In the jazz sector, the New York comes to Groningen program has been in place for several years , in which renowned musicians from New York teach as guest lecturers at the Conservatory.
