Gadancourt Priory

The priory in Gadancourt , a district of the French commune of Avernes in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was built in the 13th century. The priory is on Rue Octave de Boury, right next to the Saint-Martin church.

The building has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1948 .

The Cistercian priory existed until the 18th century and was inhabited by nine monks in 1729. After the priory was dissolved during the French Revolution , the building was added to the castle as the servants' residence.
