Saint Martin Church

Gadancourt is a former French municipality with 84 inhabitants (as at 1st January 2014) in the department of Val-d'Oise in the region of Ile-de-France ; it belonged to the Arrondissement of Pontoise and the Canton of Vauréal . The area is part of the Vexin français Regional Nature Park . The inhabitants are called Gadancourtois .

  • Château de Gadancourt, 15th century, rebuilt in the 18th century, Monument historique ; the builder David de Hazeville , Seigneur de Gadancourt, had the palace's two pavilions built at the end of the 16th century; In 1768 the main part was rebuilt by François-Jean Roger. In the (old) castle, Jean Calvin wrote his book L'Institution de la Religion Chrétienne
