Le Prix des Deux Magots is a French literary prize that has been awarded since 1933.

history

The award was first presented in 1933 on the terrace of the Café Les Deux Magots by the writer Roger Vitrac and a librarian. The ceremony took place on the same day that André Malraux received the Prix ​​Goncourt .

The prize is currently endowed with € 7,750 and was not awarded in 1939, 1940, 1943 and 1945. Since 1990 there has been a Japanese equivalent, the Bunkamura Prix des Deux Magots .
