Problembär Records is an Austrian independent label based in Vienna .

history

It was founded in 2007 by Stefan Redelsteiner. The Music Information Center Austria is one of the most important Austrian record labels in the field of alternative pop music. Since 2011 Redelsteiner has been running the label together with singer and television producer Fred Schreiber . Problembär Records has been part of Seayou Records since August 2013, and on December 31, 2014, Redelsteiner quit Problembär Records.

Redelsteiner was active in various bands, including the band of Der Nino from Vienna . In 2007, given his own limited abilities as a musician, he decided to start a record label. The first two releases were the debut albums by Neuschnee and Der Nino aus Wien. Records by The Trojan Horse , Wanda , Krixi, Kraxi und die Kroxn , Fred Schreiber and others followed. The first chart success came with the album Schwunder by Der Nino from Vienna, which reached number 52 in the Austrian album charts.

On October 17, 2014 the label released the album Amore by the band Wanda with a first edition of 500 pieces. The album now has double platinum status and is the label's most successful release.
