Mandl began publishing his works through MySpace . In July 2009, FM4 took the single Holidays from Mandl's second album into the station rotation , the same happened a few months later with the single Du Oasch . This made him known to a wider public.

Mandl names the Beatles , Syd Barrett , the Ramones , as well as the Wienerlied interpreters André Heller , Helmut Qualtinger and Wolfgang Ambros as influences .

In 2009 he took part in the protest song contest with the Spinach Song , in 2010 and 2012 he was among the nominations for an Amadeus in the categories "Alternative" and "FM4 Award". In 2011 he published a free download album as part of the side project Krixi, Kraxi and the Kroxn , which has also been available for purchase on CD since 2012, as well as his third studio album Schwunder as Der Nino from Vienna . His fourth album Bulbureal was released on November 23, 2012 . In 2013 he was nominated for the Amadeus in the categories “Alternative” and “FM4 Award”. It's his five and six nominations. The two studio albums number five and six were released on May 16, 2014 with Trees and Dreams . On March 13, 2015 he released the album Unser Österreich together with Ernst Molden .

At the Amadeus Austrian Music Award 2016 he was honored in the category "Alternative Pop / Rock".

In autumn 2016 the program "The Green Album" was performed as part of the Styrian Autumn, at the same time the accompanying book including CD was published by Charlie Bader Verlag and the CD by Problembär Records .

The Euphoric Flenson

Under the name "The Euphoric Flenson", Mandl also published songs with a distorted voice in 2009 and 2010. This second alter ego should represent its sad and dark side, according to its own statements, the "pure resignation". With the song Because I'm not a star , Mandl was played for the first time with this alter ego on the radio station FM4 . In this song he berates the Problembär Records label for not signing him with his second alter ego.
