Amadeus Awards 2010

The award of the Amadeus Austrian Music Award 2010 took place on 16 September 2010 in Vienna's city hall instead.

On July 1, 2010, the Association of the Austrian Music Industry ( IFPI ) announced the nominations. The voting system of the previous year was largely retained; there were two major changes in the categories: Instead of an award for the best alternative / rock musician, only alternative artists are awarded in this category . The name for the pop category was changed to pop / rock . From now on there will be no more awards for the best music DVD. With Skero , for the first time an act from the hip-hop area was nominated most frequently - a total of 4 times. The television broadcast took over for the third time in a row Puls 4 .

As in 2009, the award ceremony was moderated by Michael Ostrowski . Performances during the show were made by Skero feat. Joyce Muniz , Charlee , Die Junge Zillertaler , Boon and Camo & Krooked and, as international star guests, Seal and Wir sind Helden .

The winners of the evening were Skero, Bauchklang and Anna F. each with two awards.
