Marilies Jagsch (* 1984 in Linz , Upper Austria ) is an Austrian musician and singer who is part of the Independent .

Life

Jagsch, who grew up in Ried im Innkreis , studies theater studies at the University of Vienna and has performed as a singer-songwriter and guitarist. a. together with Juli Zeh in Vienna's Rabenhof . In 2005 he performed with the singer Stephan Stanzel and the songwriter Ernst Molden .

She released her debut album Obituary for a Lost Mind in February 2008 . In 2009 she was on tour with the electronic musician B. Fleischmann , on whose album Angst Is Not A Weltanschauung she is represented. In May 2010 her second album From Ice To Water To Nothing followed .

Music critics see role models for their musical style in PJ Harvey , Lhasa de Sela , Juana Molina or in folk such as Will Oldham aka Bonnie Prince Billy , Devendra Banhart and Giant Sand .
