Bernhard Fleischmann (* 1975 in Vienna ) is an Austrian indietronic musician, composer and producer. He also became known under the stage name B. Fleischmann .

Bernhard Fleischmann received drum lessons at the Hinterbrühl music school from 1988 to 1995 . From 1991, the first concerts with various guitar bands followed, including Sore! and speed is essential . The latter band released the CD My idea of ​​fun in 1998 with Fleischmann on drums . From 1998 on, Fleischmann became more involved with electronic music and set up his own studio in which he recorded his first compositions. His debut album Pop Loops for Breakfast was released in April 1999 as the first release by the newly founded label Charhizma . A short time later the album came out as vinyl on the also new label Morr Music . First concerts in Austria and Germany followed, including a tour with Lali Puna . In November 1999 Fleischmann brought out the EP Sidonie again with Morr Music and Charhizma . Further publications followed on various compilations.

In 2000 Fleischmann became known in the USA when he released the album A Choir Of Empty Beds on the Fuzzy Box label and gave two concerts in New York in November 2000 . In 2001 Fleischmann worked on Jörg Kalt's film Direction Future Through the Night , which received the jury's special prize at the 2002 Max Ophüls Prize . In 2001, Fleischmann founded the music project Duo505 together with Herbert Weixelbaum , which was initially intended as a one-off cooperation. But more recordings and concerts followed. In November 2003, Fleischmann released his first double CD, Welcome Tourist , on which he collaborated with Christof Kurzmann , Martin Siewert , Burkhard Stangl and Werner Dafeldecker . The second CD contains the 45-minute Take your time . For Welcome Tourist , Fleischmann received the first French qwartz electronic music award in the Best Album category . In August 2004, Fleischmann released his first album with Duo505, Late . In the same year, Fleischmann again provided the film music for Jörg Kalt's film Crash Test Dummies , which premiered at the Berlinale 2005. In autumn 2005 Fleischmann recorded the album The Humbucking Coil and brought it out in spring 2006. In 2007 the musician published two 49-minute sound collages with Melancholie and Sendestraße . In 2008 a second Duo505 album, Another Illusion, followed . In the same year Fleischmann brought out the album Angst Is Not A Weltanschauung with nine individual tracks.

For L'Animale he was awarded the Austrian Film Prize 2019 in the category Best Music .
