Charlee (born January 28, 1993 in Berndorf near Graz; real name Vera Stornig ) is an Austrian pop singer .

Life

Vera Luttenberger is the younger sister of Michelle Luttenberger, who is a member of the Austrian pop duo Luttenberger * Klug . Luttenberger performed in 2005 at the age of twelve at the Kiddy Contest , where she took third place.

She had other appearances at the Donauinselfest and at the Seefestage at Schwarzlsee , where she also appeared for the first time under the artist name “Charlee”, and at the German trade fair YOU in Berlin .

At the age of 14 she got a recording contract from Universal and produced her debut album This Is Me with the Graz producer Hubert Molander. Her first single was the song Boy Like You released in August 2010 . The American singer Kesha wrote the song and posted her own recording on the Internet, but not published it. Charlee was awarded the contract for the publication and thus had her first chart hit. She performed on August 27, 2010 at The Dome 55 in Hanover .

In autumn 2010 Charlee, like her sister, with the group Luttenberger * Klug, was nominated for the Austrian preliminary decision for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest . On January 7, 2011, the single Good to Be Bad was released on iTunes in Austria, with which she qualified for the preliminary live show on February 25, 2011. There was victorious Nadine Beiler .

On February 11, 2011, Charlee released her third single Obvious on iTunes. Two months later, on April 29, 2011, Charlee's first album This Is Me was released as a download version , which reached number ten on the Austrian iTunes charts.

At the end of 2011 she was a participant in the singing casting show The Voice of Germany . There Charlee was among the 32 best participants, but had to leave the show and therefore Team Boss Hoss shortly before the live shows.

From December 24th, 2011 to January 7th, 2012 you could download the Extended Play This Is Now for free on their homepage . This includes four demos that Charlee recorded at the age of 14, a new (German) song and a cover version of Someone Like You by Adele .

Today she owns a dog shop in Graz called "Die Futterbar". Luttenberger is married and has one daughter.
