Kreisky is a German indie - rock - band from Vienna .

history

At the beginning of 2005, Franz Adrian Wenzl and Martin Offenhuber founded the band Kreisky and gained a high level of popularity in Vienna and the surrounding area with live performances. The band is named after the former Austrian Chancellor Bruno Kreisky .

In May 2007, the studio album Kreisky was released, which received positive reviews in numerous media. The first single Wo Woman ist, there ist also Cry made it to number 3 in the Austrian indie charts. The band's second album is titled My Guilt, My Guilt, My Big Guilt and was released on March 27, 2009. The pre-release Asthma reached number 2 on the indie charts. At the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards 2009 the band won “FM4 Alternative Act of the Year”. On April 29, 2011, the band's third album was released under the name Trouble . The previously released single Scheisse, Actor reached number 2 on the FM4 charts.

The album Blick auf die Alpen , released at the end of March 2014, was recorded in the Wiener Symphoniker's studio in the Konzerthaus because of the special acoustics . The ORF attested that the group had a “snotty punk attitude” on the album when they wrote about the new creative bohemian precariat and “the TV gladiators of our days”.

In October 2017 the premiere of Sibylle Berg's play Viel gut essen , which the band adapted together with the author for the Vienna Rabenhof Theater , took place. The piece received consistently euphoric reviews.
