Amadeus Awards 2006
The 7th presentation of the Amadeus Austrian Music Award took place on May 25, 2006 in the ORF center on Küniglberg in Vienna . The event moderated by Andi Knoll was broadcast on ORF 1 on the same evening with a time delay . The show program was designed with performances by Christina Stürmer , SheSays , Iriepathie , Sugababes , Mattafix and Tokio Hotel .
Nomination and election
Musicians and bands or their publications that came onto the market between January 1st and December 31st, 2005 or had at least one live performance could be nominated. The prerequisite was that the artists had their center of life in Austria or were Austrian citizens. The winners were chosen by a jury consisting of 400 people from the fields of music and media.
