Amadeus Awards 2012

The award of the Amadeus Austrian Music Award 2012 took place on 1 May 2012 at the National Theater in Vienna instead.

After the award ceremonies for 2009 and 2010 took place in autumn of the respective year, the event for 2011 was moved back to the following spring. Productions from the period from June 2010 to December 2011 could be nominated. On February 21, 2012 the Association of the Austrian Music Industry ( IFPI ) announced the nominations. The voting system and the categories remained unchanged.

The award ceremony was moderated by Bianca Schwarzjirg and Manuel Rubey . There were live performances by the Trackshittaz , M185 , The young Zillertalers , Jason Mraz , also in a duet with Saint Lu , Hubert von Goisern and Wolfgang Ambros .
