Brenna tuat's guat is a song by Hubert von Goisern that was released on his album EntwederUndOder in 2011 and became his first number one hit in Austria .
Origin and background
The chorus of the song was created in one piece, the verses were added later. According to the Frankenpost, Hubert von Goisern processes his thoughts on greed and money in general in this song . He also criticizes the events in the financial world against the background of the crisis from 2007 . He also dedicates part of the text to bioethanol , which consists of ten percent wheat and was to be introduced in Austria in 2012. He points out that wheat is burned while a great many people are starving. Another topic dealt with in the song are the corruption scandals in politics.

An attempt to translate it into High German (based on Konstantin Wecker in the web magazine Behind the Headlines ) could be: “Everyone knows that money doesn't grow in the meadow. The song was initially only available as a download and has only been available as a CD single since November 11, 2011. On November 14, 2011, the music video for the song was broadcast for the first time.

In many reviews of the album, the song was particularly highlighted. Josef Gasteiger from laut.de described the song as "rousing polka rock". Stefan Franzen from the Badische Zeitung attests the “dialect rap” song “punky qualities”. Kati Hofacker from Monsters and Critics says: "Brenna tuats guat 'offers a brand new mix of rap , rock and Alpenglühn - literally - and sounds like a hit".
In the third week of placement (October 14, 2011) the song reached number 1 in the Austrian charts and stayed there for 5 weeks. Hubert von Goisern's tour in 2012 is named after the song.
In Germany, too, the song reached the sales hit parade in November 2011. It is the first title by Hubert von Goisern that was able to place in the German single charts . The title stayed on the German list for 42 weeks.
