EntwederUndOder is the 12th studio album by Austrian folk musician Hubert von Goisern , which was released on September 2nd, 2011.

backgrounds

In September 2010, one year after the Linz Europe Tour 2007 - 2009 , Hubert von Goisern began to work on new songs. Together with three members of the band on this tour, consisting of Severin Trogbacher, Helmut Schartlmüller and Alexander Pohn, the album EntwederUndOder was recorded in his studio in Salzburg .

Before the release, some of the songs were presented on the pub tour that took the band through Austria and Germany in spring 2011.

The album is reduced to the bare essentials and was only recorded by the four members of the band ("the musical guerrilla unit"), only two songs ( Lebwohl and Nit lång her ) each had a guest musician on the piano. However, the stylistic range of the album is quite large, i. H. Many different styles of music such as folk music , rock , blues , jazz , ska , surf music and funk were processed.

In October 2011, the single Brenna tuat's guat developed into a number one hit , which stayed at the top of the Austrian charts for weeks and whose success was also responsible for the fact that EntwederUndOder was able to stay in the top 10 for a long time and even ensured it that the album was temporarily no longer available in October.

In December 2011 Hubert von Goisern was awarded a platinum record for 20,000 albums sold by EntwederUndOder in Austria. 15,000 copies of the single Brenna tuat's guat were sold in Austria, which corresponds to a gold record . At the Amadeus Award 2012 , EntwederUndOder won in the Best Album category .
