Georg Breinschmid (born April 25, 1973 in Amstetten , Austria ) is an Austrian double bass player and composer in the field of jazz .

Breinschmid completed a classical training on the double bass at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna . During his studies he stepped in for musicians who were dropped out at short notice in various Viennese orchestras. He was also in chamber music - ensembles operate such. B. the Amadeus Ensemble . From 1994 to 1996 he was a member of the Tonkünstler Orchestra of Lower Austria .
