Marjan Shaki (* 7. October 1980 as Marjan Pätzoldt in Hamburg ) is a German musical actress and singer.

life and career

Marjan Shaki is the daughter of the German political scientist, organizational consultant and publisher Björn Pätzoldt and the Iranian writer Torkan . In 2000 Marjan Shaki finished her studies at the Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama in Hamburg. During her studies she gained her first stage experience a. a. with Die Schule von Uznach in the Opera Stabile Hamburg. She then worked in various TV productions as a singer, actress and presenter and had various solo appearances at musical galas.

She received her first permanent engagements in 2001 at Tanz der Vampire in Stuttgart as alternating Sarah, in 2002 in the Raimundtheater in Vienna in the role of Rosanna in the Fendrich musical Wake up , in 2004 in the role of Mistress in the musical Evita in Bozen and in 2005 in the German-speaking one World premiere of Romeo and Juliet in the Raimund Theater in Vienna as Juliet.

In 2007 she played Sarah in Tanz der Vampire In Concert alongside Thomas Borchert , Gernot Kranner & Lukas Perman .

In Elisabeth's Japan tour (March to May 2007) she was part of the ensemble and as Helene von Wittelsbach. Following this tour she gave two exclusive concerts with Lukas Perman in Osaka and one concert in Tokyo, as well as four more concerts in February 2008 at Billboard Live in Osaka. In May 2008, a series of concerts in cooperation with the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien followed under the title Wien Musical Concert at the Umeda Arts Theater Osaka, Japan.

In November 2008 she was seen in the stage version of Fellini's La Strada in the boroughs as part of the Vienna Volkstheater under the direction of Andy Halwaxx .

During another tour of Japan, she was on stage in the course of the Love Legends concert series in April 2009 with her colleagues Asato Shizuki, Wataru Kuzuki, Kanata Irei, Máté Kamarás and Lukas Perman in Osaka and Tokyo.

From September 2009 to June 2011 Marjan Shaki performed as Sarah in the musical Tanz der Vampire by Roman Polański at the Ronacher Theater in Vienna. From November 2013 she was seen in the Graz Opera as Princess Jasmin in the musical Aladdin and the Magic Lamp .

Marjan Shaki and her partner Lukas Perman received the TARA Award in the category of international social engagement at the charity gala "life goes on" in the Vienna Hofburg at the end of November 2011 for their Haiti relief efforts.
