Raúl Arsenio Casado (born July 27, 1929 in Salta , Province of Salta , Argentina, † July 20, 2010 ibid) was Roman Catholic Archbishop of Tucumán .

Life

Raúl Arsenio Casado was ordained a priest on December 20, 1952 .

On May 14, 1975, Pope Paul VI appointed him . as titular bishop of Tacapae and auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Salta . The episcopal ordination received his Archbishop Pio Laghi , Apostolic Nuncio in Argentina, on 16 August 1975; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Salta, Carlos Mariano Pérez Eslava SDB , and the Bishop of San Nicolás de los Arroyos , Carlos Horacio Ponce de Léon . His motto was “Me debo a todos.” (“I thank everyone.”).

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Jujuy on July 7, 1983 . The inauguration took place on August 21 of the same year. He was named Archbishop of Tucumán on June 15, 1994, and was introduced to the office on September 18 of the same year.

On July 8, 1999, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation due to illness.
