Marcelino Palentini SCI (born September 17, 1943 in Caldogno , Vicenza Province , Italy , † September 18, 2011 in San Salvador de Jujuy , Jujuy Province , Argentina ) was a Roman Catholic religious and bishop of Jujuy .

Career

Marcelino Palentini joined the religious order of Dehonians and was ordained a priest on June 27, 1970 .

On July 11, 1995, he was appointed Bishop of Jujuy by Pope John Paul II, based in San Salvador de Jujuy . The episcopal ordination donated him the retired Archbishop of Resistencia , Juan José Iriarte , on October 7, 1995; Co- consecrators were Carmelo Juan Giaquinta , Archbishop of Resistencia, and Pedro María Olmedo Rivero CMF, Prelate of Humahuaca .

In the Argentine Bishops' Conference he was a member of the committees for mission and aid in the regions most in need. He was a delegate of the Northwest Argentina Pastoral Region (NOA).

Palentini died of complications from a brain tumor . He was buried in the chapel of the Virgen del Rosario del Rio Blanco and PayPay in San Salvador de Jujuy.
