Proctology
The proctology (from ancient Greek πρωκτός proctos " After , rump " and -logie ) is a medical subspecialty that deals with the diseases of the rectum so precisely, the rectum and the anal canal busy.
A doctor who deals with proctology is called a proctologist or an intestinal specialist . Since the last update of the model further training regulations for doctors in 2004, most of the state medical associations in the Federal Republic of Germany have adopted further training in proctology into state law. The use of the additional designation "proctology" requires at least one year of further training with an authorized trainer and an oral examination by the State Medical Association.
