Fenzl's almond ( Prunus fenzliana ) is a species of the Prunus genus .

feature

Fenzl's almond is a shrub that is dense, sparse, rounded and very thorny. Young twigs are purple in color. The leaves are lanceolate, pointed and bluish green on both sides. The flowers are arranged individually or in twos or threes (rarely up to five) in sessile umbels. The flowers are whitish and almost sessile. The fruit is dry-fleshed and spherical. The stone core is furrowed.

The flowering time is in March.

Occurrence

Fenzl's almond occurs in the Caucasus.
