Publius Galerius Trachalus
Publius Galerius Trachalus was an Imperial Roman senator and full consul in 68.
Publius Galerius Trachalus was probably a descendant of the knight Gaius Galerius , who was probably Praefectus Aegypti between 16 and 31 , and came from Ariminum .
In 68 Trachalus was a full consul together with Silius Italicus . In the four-emperor year 69 he served Emperor Otho as a domestic policy advisor and possibly also as a speechwriter. He was also famous as a speaker in the Senate. Later in 69, his relative Galeria Fundana saved him from being punished by her husband, the new Emperor Vitellius .
He was governor of Africa , probably around the year 80.
