Journalism Prize from the City of Munich
The Journalism Prize of the City of Munich has been awarded since 1992, initially every two years, and then every three years since 1998, alternating with the Literature Prize of the City of Munich and the Translation Prize of the City of Munich . The prize money is currently 10,000 euros.
The award winners must come from the Munich region or have a close connection to Munich as the place where they work. The award goes to a personality who has contributed to giving Munich a profile as a media city.
