The Puig des Teix ( standard - Catalan : Puig del Teix 'Eibenberg') is a 1064 meter high mountain in the Serra de Tramuntana on Mallorca . Its mountain range belongs to the municipalities of Valldemossa , Deià , Sóller and Bunyola , the summit is in the municipality of Deià. Its name is derived from the European yew (Catalan Teix ), a tree that used to be very common in the entire area, but is only found in individual specimens today.
From the summit the view extends to Palma and the Puig Major .
Routes to the summit

- The normal route leads from Valldemossa via the Finca publica de Son Moragues to the summit. Since the summit is privately owned, access is sometimes difficult.
- From Valldemossa over the Pla des Pouet and the Camí de S'Arxiduc (former bridle path of Archduke Ludwig Salvator ).
- From Valldemossa via Pastoritx and Ses Comellar Sitges.
- From Deià over the Coll de Son Gallard and the Camí de S'Arxiduc.
- From the Coll de Sóller via the King Sancho House (La caseta del Rei Sanxo).
- From Bunyola over the valley of the stream n'Angelè.
