Pulled Apart by Horses ( engl. Torn by horses ) is a British alternative rock - band from Leeds in England . It was founded in late 2007 and released their debut album, also called Pulled Apart by Horses , on June 21, 2010.
history
After their formation at the end of 2007, the band gave their first appearance on February 13, 2008 in The Packhorse Pub in Leeds, where the band members had also practiced beforehand. A steadily growing fan base quickly developed and Pulled Apart by Horses received many invitations to more or less large appearances. In addition, the band became known for their wild performances, in which band members were partially injured.
The band's debut single, Meat Balloon , was released by Big Scary Monsters Recording Company in October 2008 and made it to # 18 on the UK independent charts. In January 2009 the band released their second single, I Punched a Lion in the Throat, as a vinyl single .
Almost three years after the band was founded, the self-titled debut album Pulled Apart by Horses was released on June 21, 2010 and the band was invited by Muse to support them on their UK tour. In June 2011 Pulled Apart by Horses took part in the Southside Festival in Neuhausen ob Eck in Baden-Württemberg . On June 21, 2011 - exactly one year after the release of the first album - the band made an album called Live at Leeds with live recordings of a performance in Leeds available for download free of charge on their homepage . On 23 January 2012, Tough Love , the second studio album of the band released in September 2014 was followed by Blood album number three. This was able to place itself in the top 40 of the British charts and was then promoted in the opening act by Kasabian , who were supported by Pulled Apart by Horses on their tour through Germany and Italy in autumn 2014 as a support act .
