Pulsberg , Lutoboŕ in Lower Sorbian , is a district of the southern Brandenburg town of Spremberg in Lower Lusatia . Today, Pulsberg is located on the edge of an already recultivated post- mining landscape of the Welzow-Süd opencast mine , approx. 4.5 km southwest of the city center.
history
The oldest written mention of Pulsberg is from 1513.
As early as 1855, the area around Pulsberg was developed for lignite mining.
A year later, in 1856, a powder factory was built near the village.
At the end of the 19th century, the first partial evastation and relocation of the place took place. The old manor house was demolished and rebuilt elsewhere, on the site of a former sheep farm. At the beginning of the 20th century, a majority of the Pulsberg residents found wages and bread in the Anna (1864–1923) and Consul (1892–1930) pits.
The first school in the village opened in 1914, saving the pupils from having to go to the schools in the neighboring towns of Jessen and Heinrichsfeld .
Incorporation
On December 31, 1972, Jessen was incorporated into Pulsberg. Pulsberg itself was incorporated into Spremberg on January 1, 1974.
Demolition
Only a few streets of the village still exist, in 1975 and 1976 large parts of the village were excavated for the Welzow-Süd opencast mine. According to official information, a total of 110 people had to leave the place.
