Punta Chacao ( Spanish ) is a headland of Deception Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the northwest bank of Port Foster , it marks the southern boundary of the entrance to Telefon Bay .
Scientists of the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946-1947) named it on January 22, 1947 after the Chacao Channel in Chile.
