The Puschma ( Russian Пушма ) is a right tributary of the Jug in the Kirov Oblast in the north of the European part of Russia .
The Puschma rises 15 km north of Oparino in the Oparino Rajon . It initially flows north but then turns west. It then flows through the Podossinowez Rajon in a westerly direction. The river passes the town of the same name, Puschma . Finally, the Pushma reaches the north-flowing Jug near Podossinowez , the right source river of the Northern Dvina .
The Pushma has a length of 171 km. It drains an area of 2520 km². It is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The spring flood will take place during the months of April and May. The mean discharge 30 km above the mouth is 18 m³ / s. The Puschma is ice-covered between late October / November and April / early May. The river was used for rafting , at least earlier .
