Pyaar Diwana Hota Hai ( Hindi : प्यार दीवाना होता है , Pyar Hota Hai DIVANA ; lit. translation:. Love is crazy ) is an Indian love film comedy of the Hindi film directed by Kirti Kumar in 2002.

Sunder goes from his village to the big city. He is naive, easily influenced and illiterate. The painter Sunder is soon hired as a painter and meets Payal Khurana. Payal comes from a good family and traveled from the USA to India to study classical dance. She's the only one he befriends. Sunder thinks Payal is deaf the first time they meet and therefore answers her in sign language . Now Payal thinks Sunder is deaf. It soon becomes clear that Payal is not deaf, but Sunder thinks Payal is only friends with him because she feels sorry for him, and so continues to play his role as a deaf person. Payal wants to give him back his vote and brings Sunder to the doctor Dr. S. Puri, but unable to help Sunder. He doesn't know that Payal is slowly falling in love with him. As he realizes this, it becomes more and more difficult to keep up his lie.
