features

The moths reach a wingspan of 13 to 17 millimeters. The head is yellowish white. The first two thirds of the antennae are ringed white and brown. The last third is divided into three brown and three white sections. The thorax is yellowish white. Dorsally it has two broad, pale brown lines that are slightly narrower in the middle. There is a whitish stain on the back. The tegulae are brown. The forewings are brown in the basal region . The basal region is bordered by an inwardly sloping, ocher-colored to white line. It ranges from the Costa loader to the anal fold. The remaining wing areas are ocher brown, the apical area is darker. There is a white line on the inner edge of the wing, which is often mixed with a yellowish tinge. It extends from the wing base to the wing tip and is narrower at the inner angle . On the ocher-colored to white band there is a dark brown, subapical spot at 1/5 of its length. A similar spot is located above and below the anal fold on the border with the brown basal region. The Costa loader is mixed gray from 1/4 to 2/3 of the fore wing length. In the middle of the wing, an indistinct, gray line begins at half the wing length and extends to the apex . There is a white spot above the inner corner. An ocher-colored, white line extends from the Costa loader to the apical area. The fringed scales are ocher brown on the apex and ocher yellow on the inner wing edge. The hind wings are ocher gray and darken towards the apex. The abdomen is ocher gray. The segments have lighter bands at the back, the last two segments are yellowish white. In the males, the front wings are more monochrome, the dark brown spots are missing.

In the males, the tegumen is long and tapers distally . The brachia are strongly curved. The right brachium is about twice as long as the left and has a hook-shaped tip. The blades are very long, slender and slightly curved. The aedeagus is short and truncated. It has a sclerotized basal ring. The manica tapers sharply distally, the last third is curved downwards. The left valvella is narrowly club-shaped. The right valvella has the shape of a rounded hump.

In females, the ostium is in the middle of the rounded sterigma and has a sclerotized ring. The sterigma has a protuberance on the right side. The ductus bursae is shorter than the corpus bursae. The corpus bursae is elongated and tapers in front. The signa consist of two irregular, oval and scaly plates.
