HD 10647 , also known as q 1 Eridani , is a main sequence star of spectral class F8 in the constellation Eridanus about 57  light years away . The star has a mass of about 1.1  solar masses and is orbited by the exoplanet HD 10647 b with a period of about 1000  days .

Planetary companion

The orbit of HD 10647 b has a major semi-axis of approx. 2.0  astronomical units . The exoplanet has a minimum mass of about 0.93 Jupiter masses; one can therefore assume that it is a gas planet . It was developed by Michel Mayor et al. Discovered in 2003 using the radial velocity method.
