The QLZ87 is a Chinese grenade launcher . The abbreviation QLZ means Qing bing qi, Liu-dan Fa-she-qi, Zi-dong (輕 兵器 榴彈 發射 器 自動), which means something like automatic hand grenade launcher, and the 87 comes from the first prototype, the W87. The grenade launcher comes in two versions, a light version with a bipod , which weighs 12 kg, and a heavy version with a tripod , which weighs 12 kg for the grenade launcher and 8 kg for the tripod, i.e. a total of 20 kg. The light version can be operated by one soldier, while the heavy version is operated by three soldiers. In addition, the QLZ87 can also be mounted on vehicles, although reloading while driving presents some difficulties.
technology
The Type 87 grenade launcher is a direct gas-pressure turbocharger with a shooting up support flap closure . The gas pressure pushes the trigger group backwards and the remaining gas escapes immediately. It is possible to set three different gas pressures. A double muzzle brake and a rubberized end at the end of the buttstock should reduce recoil . The pistol grip with fire selector lever and trigger is attached to the right side. The shooter can use the open sights or there is also a target optics with three times magnification.
