Qagan

The large community Qagan ( Chinese  嵯 崗鎮  /  嵯 岗镇 , Pinyin Cuógǎng Zhèn , Mongolian qagaan for the color "white") was founded in 1956 and is located in the north of the New Left Bargu Banner , which is part of the administrative area of ​​the city of Hulun Buir in the autonomous region Inner Mongolia belongs to the People's Republic of China .

Qagan has an area of ​​2105 km² and at the end of 2003 had over 5000 inhabitants. The administrative area of ​​the large community borders in the east on the Old Bargu Banner , in the south on the Hadanai Hoolai Lake ( 哈达 乃 浩 来 , Hādánǎi Hǎolái , overflow lake of the Hulun Hu ) and the Sum Jabhulangt , in the west on the state pasture Qagan Shuangwa and in the north, separated by the Ergun He river border with Russia . Qagan's inhabitants are predominantly Mongolians , there are also some Han , Daur , Russians , Hui and Evenks . Qagan's economic basis is the Mongolian migrant cattle farming and, to a lesser extent, the milk processing industry and a schnapps distillery.

Administrative structure

The large community is divided into three communities and three Gaqaa (嘎查) the herdsmen. These are:

  • Residential community Erdun Uul (额 尔敦乌拉 社区),
