Qairat Yermekuly Omarow ( Kazakh Қайрат Ермекұлы Омаров , Russian Кайрат Ермекович Умаров Kairat Yermekowitsch Umarow ; born January 12, 1963 in Fargakh'ona , Uzbekistani and Kazakhstani embassy in the United States, and since 2013 a diplomatic politician in the United States .

biography

After Omarov had completed his studies as a teacher of English and French at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University in Almaty , Kazakhstan , he initially served in the Soviet army. From 1997 onwards he worked as a teacher at the Kazakh Academy of Sciences .

In 1992 Omarov became second and then first secretary of the Department for Europe and America in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan , before he was first secretary and advisor to the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the United States from 1994 to 1996. In 1996 he moved again to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and held various posts there until 1998. By 2004, Qayrat Omarow was employed as a consultant at the Kazakh embassy in the USA for the second time.

As ambassador, Omarov represented Kazakhstan's interests in India from 2004 to 2009 and also in Sri Lanka from 2008 to 2009 .

From September 2009 to January 2013 he was Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. On January 4, 2013, Omarov became Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United States.
