Qayyrbek Sulimenov

Qajyrbek Schoschanuly Süleimenow ( Kazakh Қайырбек Шошанұлы Сүлейменов , Russian Каирбек Шошанович Сулейменов * 12. May 1949 in Novosibirsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Kazakh politician.

Life

Qajyrbek Süleimenow was born in Novosibirsk in the Russian SFSR in 1949. He studied at the branch of the Sverdlovsk Legal Institute in Novosibirsk and graduated in 1972.

From 1976 to 1979 he was Deputy Prosecutor of the Leninsky District of Alma-Ata. Between May 1979 and November 1981 he was deputy head of the internal affairs department of Kalininsky and Alatau districts and then until May 1986 head of the internal affairs department of Leninsky district. In July 1987 Süleimenow became head of the city committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in Alma-Ata and from December 1988 onwards he headed the regional committee of the Communist Party. In January 1989 he became the deputy head of the state legal department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan, and from May 1990 he was the head of the state legal department of the President of the Kazakh SSR.

From October 1991 to October 1992 Süleimenow was Kazakhstan's first deputy interior minister. From October 1992 to October 1995 he was State Councilor of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In October 1995 he was appointed Minister of the Interior and thus also the commander of the country's internal troops, which are subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior. After around five years as minister, he was replaced by Bolat Ysqaqow in December 2000 and made again as deputy minister of the interior. From January 2002 he held the position of the Kazakh Interior Minister again until he was replaced by Sauytbek Turysbekow in September 2003 . Then Süleimenow was commander of the internal troops until 2008. From August 19, 2008 to September 2009, he was assistant to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and secretary of the Security Council. After the general election in 2012 Süleimenow MP for was Nur Otan in the MAZHILIS .
